What is an independent parking system?

An independent pit parking system multiplies capacity using a recessed pit, so platforms can move past each other and any vehicle reaches drive level without relocating another car. This is the defining difference from a dependent stacker, where the upper car waits on the lower one.

Each space behaves like its own parking spot. That makes pit systems the right choice wherever spaces have different owners, or where users need their car at unpredictable times — apartments with mixed allotments, offices, malls, and hospitals.

Common questions

Why does an independent system need a pit?+

The pit gives platforms vertical room to move past each other, which is what lets any car reach drive level without relocating another. A dependent stacker avoids the pit but trades away that independent access.

How deep is the pit?+

Roughly 1.5–1.9 m for a two-level system, deeper for three levels. The exact figure depends on vehicle heights and platform type, confirmed during the site survey.

What about the water table and drainage?+

Pits are waterproofed and fitted with drainage, typically a sump and pump where required. We assess the local water table as part of the survey and design accordingly.

Can SUVs be parked?+

Yes. Platform capacities of 2,000 kg and 2,600 kg cover most SUVs; clearance is set by pit depth and headroom, which we design for the vehicle mix you specify.

What happens during a power failure?+

Platforms stay safely locked by hydraulic check valves and mechanical locks. Controlled lowering is possible via an emergency release operated by trained personnel.

What maintenance is required?+

A periodic AMC covering hydraulic oil, seals, anchor torque, pit drainage, and safety inspections — typically 2–4 visits per year.
